Meat cones & offal tacos

I recently returned from the Cognitive Neuroscience Society meeting in San Francisco.  One of my favorite things about conferences is food.  The conference is held right next to the Ferry Building, which always provides good options for lunch.  It was hard not to go to Boccalone everyday for Tasty Salted Pigs Parts.  I managed to only go there once, and I got my fill.  I had a meat cone (containing salami, ham, and mortadella), a muffaletta sandwich, and picked up an orange and wild fennel salami for the road.  I wanted to get some pancetta or guanciale, but didn't have a fridge in the hotel.

I had lengua (cow tongue) tacos for the first time and they were amazing.  Next time I'll try something more adventurous.
